Abortion a State Choice?

Mike Huckabee, a Republican presidential candidate does not like the idea of giving states the power to decide how whether or not a person could have an abortion. He thinks that life is a moral issue. Huckabee compared the issue of abortion to slavery. He said that if abortion is a moral issue then there would be one answer to the issue, right or wrong. If abortion is a political issue, then there would be a lot of answers of being right or wrong instead of just one answer, a moral answer. Huckabee commented on Fred Thompson's position on the right to life issue. The National Right to Life Committee used Thompson as one of their endorsement figures and Huckabee was concern about this situation.

Huckabee said that Thompson never fully support the right to life. Thompson doesn't even support the human life amendment as is. On the other hand, Thompson disagree with Huckabee's point of view. Thompson thinks that the Supreme Court should overturn their decision in the Roe versus Wade case, which allow abortion to be legal. Thompson thinks that the states should have the say to allow the use of abortion or not. Huckabee plan to use Chuck Norris to affirm his decision on abortion in his commercial campaign ad. Huckabee wants the citizens of America to know that Chuck Norris is on his side and so should everyone else. On the other hand, Thompson doesn't think it is a good idea, but then again he said he has two words too and that is "Chuck Norris."
